I have been passionate about disability awareness and support ever since my freshman year of high school. It all started when I joined Best Buddies, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting inclusion for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (IDD) by matching them in a friendship with "peer buddies", individuals without IDD. Soon after I joined another organization, Penguin Project, which produces musicals with children with IDD as the stars. 

 

Ever since then, I've been hooked on the movement. It has even inspired me to become a behavioral therapist for children with autism. The goal is to make the world a little kinder, a little happier, and a little brighter one step at a time. I hope you'll join me.
